Joshua Becomes the Leader – Moses Dies

Chapel Time – March 1, 2021

Today in Chapel Time we read about how God told Moses he could not cross the Jordan into the Promised Land.  We also read about how God named Joshua as the leader.

God called Moses up on Mount Nebo to talk to him.  He had him look at the Promised Land but reminded Moses that he did not get to go into the Promised Land. Moses trusted God’s plan and he died soon after their meeting.

 

Moses was sad that he did not get to go, but he loved God and he understood.  I am certain he was thankful for a good leader, like Joshua, to take the lead of the people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joshua was not sure he could be a good leader like Moses but God reminded Joshua that He would be with Him and He would help Him.  God told Joshua to trust Him, to obey His Law, and to be brave.
