Chapel and Week 3 of Advent – Days 1 & 2 – Story Time – Narnia – “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”

Today we started week 3 of our Advent lessons.  This week our focus in “JOY”.  Our memory verse for the week is:

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

Day 2 we talked about Uriah, Bathsheba, and Solomon.  Our passage for the lesson was 2 Samuel 11 and 12.

This is quite a sad story, but God brought about good.  No matter how bad, or how many time we mess up, God has a plan and can bring about good.

Discussion Questions:

1 – Have you ever sinned and tried to cover it up?

2 – 1 John 1:9 – What does God do when we repent for our sins? Is repentance better than trying to hide sin? Why?
