CHAPEL TIME – GIANTS, CANAAN, AND TRUST

chapel time – February 15, 2021

Hello Chapel Time Friends!!!! I hope you are all doing well today!!! We had a great time in Chapel this morning.  Today’s lesson summary came from Numbers 13 and Numbers 17.

God asked Moses to send 12 men, one from each tribe, to go into Canaan and see what was ahead of them.  The time had finally come! They were about to enter the land that God had promised them!! When the men came back, ten of them were very afraid.  They said there were warriors like giants there and they would surely be defeated.  The Israelites believed them. Two of the men, Joshua and Caleb, tried to tell the people that they would be fine – God was with them.  Just trust Him.  But they didn’t listen.  Joshua and Caleb told them how the land was rich with fruit and it would be wonderful and that God would be with them and help them.  But….. the Israelites still complained.  So, God said they could not enter.  They would wander for 40 years in the dry, dusty desert and their children and Joshua and Caleb would be the only ones to enter.

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. Proverbs 3:7

Wait, Trust, Obey.  It really is the better option.  God knows best.  We need to trust Him!!
