DISCIPLESHIP AT HOME – “IDOLS ARE” – A WORTHLESS CARVING

“This week we pray against the temptation to shape our ideas of God into our ideal.”

Let’s help our kids focus on the big idea that we should be shaped by what God says we are, not what the world says we are.  This falls right in line with the study we are doing upstairs on “Identity in Christ”.

Daily Scripture Focus: 

God, you are my God; I eagerly seek you. I thirst for you; my body faints for you in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water (Ps. 63:1).

What does it mean when someone says “alive in Christ”? Talk about it with your kids this week.  You do not get minutes back, make the most of every minute you have with them.  Trust me, coming from a mom of a high school graduate, the speed of time passing just gets faster, so slow down and have some real talks with your kids.
