Discipleship At Home – Resurrection and New Life – Session 2

Hello Parents! How are you doing today? I hope this finds you well.  Hey, I just want to remind you that I am here for you! Trust me, I know first hand with a senior this year, that some days can be a little rockier than others.  Keep this in mind, the good days outweigh the rough ones!! Just like childbirth, we focus on the good and the rough part isn’t on the surface of our thoughts, for most anyway.

Our kids are trying to figure out life, and right now we all are more than ever I believe, so hand in there.  Love them where they are and no, you cannot pinch their heads off!  You need them around and they need you.  They need you to love them in all their joy and happiness, tears and confusion, anxiety and worry, celebrations and rejoicing.  Love them in every season, and as I have said many times, don’t blink – before you know it you will be planning graduation surprises and dorm room set up and apartments and weddings, and goodness knows what else, it just all goes so fast.  Treasure every moment.  Take time to stop and just enjoy their presence.

Count how many hours you think you have left with your kids at home. Crazy how few there are before they leave the nest. Treasure every one!!! Our baby birds fly when it is time, parents, are you ready for their flight?

I have attached a link below.  Please use this resource as a way to have some good conversation with them about Jesus.  He is the most important lesson we can teach them.  He is the most important relationship they will have, and it will affect all other relationships…. so make time to have the conversations.  Live in a way that they see your relationship with Him is most important.  Enjoy this resource and some time with your kiddos.
