Found Something New and Yummy – Skhug
Have you ever tried Skhug dressing? I know, it sounds more like slug, and well it looks a lot like grass, but seriously! Try it! I have had my first adventure with Cava – am amazing restaurant in Cary – and I am in love. Check it out at Cava.com. Mediterranean and I wish we had one in Cape Carteret. It will be one of my new go-to’s when we are out of town. Amazing Vegan options but tons of other options too. This dip with their pita crispy chips are amazing!!!!
Since starting plant-based/vegetarian eating in February – these kinds of finds are a celebration! Spread the word, and if you want to try and make some Skhug at home with me, let’s do it! I am going to try it. Looks pretty simple. Here is a link to a recipe that I found. The trick, I think, is going to be getting the ratios right between the cilantro and the rest. It truly is amazing.

According to this website link above:
“In modern Israeli Hebrew, it’s pronounced s-kh-oog, as one syllable (the kh sound is the guttural consonant at the end of the Scottish word loch, and the oo rhymes with shoe, not wood).”
If you find a Cava near you, try it!!!
Oh, and I tried Uber eats for the first time tonight too. Let me tell you, if I was single and in a big town with Uber Eats, I would definitely be a regular customer!!! Pretty amazing!!!!
Chat with yall soon! Remember, take care of the temple – if Jesus lives in you, then you are a temple where He dwells – so take care of it!!!
