Hello, my ministry friends! I hope this finds you well!
What ministry are you leading??
Whether you lead littles in Church Weekday, or kids on the weekends and mid-week, or teens anytime – we are all tired. The season we are in is causing us to have to be more creative in how we reach our kids than we have probably ever had to be! Does it seem to you that the tension of trying to get things finished virtually gets more and more time-consuming? I hear ya!!! I am right there with you! Ministry looks very different for us all right now, and yes, we have to overcome and adapt to many hurdles in the parts right now. Hear me – God still wins.
Hit some roadblocks?
Satan wants to throw us every roadblock possible in reaching our kiddos, but we just have to seek God for wisdom and pray for some creativity on how to get things updated and exciting and reaching many virtually – which did is say, is a whole new world?!?!?!? I have had to learn so much and I am so thankful for those God has put in my path to help me learn so much along the way.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
I want to encourage you to keep running the race. Don’t give up! Find new ways to reach more, reach farther, reach harder. Every group is different right now. No two things will work for everyone. Try what works for the dynamics you have now. Whatever it takes! I remember when I first joined the church that I am at now, the Pastor signed everything with “whatever it takes”. So I encourage you – do whatever it takes to stay connected with your families. Love those who are coming in person, reach those who are coming “virtually”, and figure out some outside events where you can bring your peeps together safely (even those who do not wish to come inside right now). We cannot get set on one thing to reach all – that is not going to work these days. The day of coming to church and teaching Sunday school then leading Children’s Church and packing up and going home – well those days are over. We must be online, we must be on Instagram, we must be reaching out on Facebook, we must find ways that reach the different groups we serve. Do whatever it takes.
Be encouraged! Choose Joy!
I want to encourage you, although you have heard it a gazillion times, You Are Not Alone! We are all in this – together- learning how to lead ministry in new ways. Let’s choose to see it as exciting and growth – especially for those of us who have had to learn so much!! Thank God for teens who are willing to teach me the latest social media. Gotta love it!! Choose Joy!
Here are some resources for you all. I hope these will help and encourage you to keep on keeping on!! The Gospel nor The Mission has changed!! Keep your eyes focused on Jesus!!
