Hello everyone! Today has been a big day in the life of our CCBC Family. We had promotion Sunday, we honored our Graduates in the services and with a luncheon, then we finished the day with an SBA Leader Meeting.
Raising Kids that Know Jesus
As I looked around me at the luncheon today, I was surrounded by families who have been intentional about raising kids that know Jesus. I watched each of them, and I was able to reflect on many of them in former SBA gatherings over the years, and I praise Jesus that they have had people invest in their spiritual growth over the years. I can honestly say that for so many of them that I have been blessed to teach over the years, they are going out into the world knowing Jesus. Knowing He loves them and that He died for them and that He has a plan for them. What peace it brings to know that they have had a solid foundation, because of parents and leaders who chose to invest in them. Please join me in praying that they will stay true to Jesus and true to what they believe today as they start off onto a new journey in life. I am so proud of them all!!
Summer Bible Adventure
Post SBA meeting this evening, I reflect on just how important SBA is for our children. I sat at the back of the room and observed these leaders who are agreeing to invest in this year’s Bible Time Boosters at Summer Bible Adventure. I see the excitement they have about our week of fun and growing coming up in just a few weeks, and I praise God for giving us such willing leaders. I praise God for these leaders who will be sacrificially giving of their time and gifts for SBA week, morning and evening, so that kids in our area may know Him more. Oh, how blessed we are to have leaders that really get it; that know the importance of growing kids to know Him and to make Him known. Join me in praying for our SBA week, for our kids and leaders, for the parents and grandparents bringing them, and for many kids in our community to come and hear The Good News.
Teach Them About Jesus
You see, it will not be long before these very 2019 Bible Time Boosters leave us to take on the world. The most important thing we can do for them is to teach them about Jesus – the one that gave His life for them. It will be just a short time before we celebrate their graduation and send them off to take on the world, and we can say that they have heard The Good News of Jesus.
You see, we can buy them gifts, we can give them all the “essentials” of this world, but the most important thing we can do for them is to help them grow in Christ. So if you have not signed up to help with SBA or a Life Group or any other kids/students ministry, please do so. See where you can jump in and meet God where He is working. (Yes, I had to put a plug in for leaders, of course, but please hear me when I say spending time with these kiddos, whichever ones God sends us, is such a blessing!!) Please be prayerful of how you can make a difference in the life of a child for The Kingdom.
Parents, please read these words and know that you are the most influential people in the lives of your kids for spiritual growth. Picture your kids/grandkids at their senior year. Hard to imagine, isn’t it? It will be here before you know it. Model a Godly life for them starting now. Make God a priority so that when they leave the nest, they know what it is like to live a life with God first. A relationship with Him is the most important thing we can help them to understand.
Thank You
So…… as I reflect on this day, I want to thank you for being followers of Christ that see the importance of children, children who will grow into adults and are our future leaders. Jesus sure loves children, and we should too! In Matthew, He tells us to let them come to Him. We should do everything possible to do just that. So join us and let’s spread The Word. Let’s pour into the lives of kids and students so that they can go and make disciples, just as God commanded us to do.
There are my thoughts for today. What a great day it has been. God is good all the time!! To God be all the praise!!
